To make a Society that works

To make a Society that works,
Take the men and let them be.
Let them idle from dirty works
Until they rot like an empty tree.
About time their stink fills the air
Take back the let-it-be and drive them out.
Out of rest and every good fare
And give them lessons on what life’s about.
At first I know they’ll run away
From all that is hard and tough to do.
But after some weeks of going astray
They’re sure to return knowing where to.
Every god should have this in her mind:
No man works without the pains.
If you want a Society refined,
Give it freedom then give chains.
